The Two Colors Patterns
Pictures below illustrated some two colors patterns you can make with ribbons.
How you position your ribbons at start determine the pattern you'll be getting.
At this point, if you're wondering how to do the braiding, let's take a reverse step to the making of ribbon headband.
Patchwork Braids
This is an exciting braids with interesting patchwork effects. You can discover many ways of interesting combination by a careful choice of ribbons.

By placing your choice ribbons in similar manner as shown at START, braid ribbons (in sequence of Left-Bottom->Right-Top, Right-Bottom->Left-Top, Right-Bottom->Left-Top, Left-Bottom->Right-Top), you can create your unique patchwork braided headbands.
Diagonal Braids
Putting together two similar ribbons at start side by side will give you diagonal patterns as follows:


Consider using strip or saddle stitch ribbons in this style. They will be uniquely crisscrossed at center which create an interesting focal point.
