Dress them up! Learn how to Line Hair Clip

Line hair clip... This is an easy value adding service!

Look at this simple example made on single prong alligator clip. You can use similar concept on all other alligator clips.

These are things you need… A clip, glue gun with hot glue sticks, and 9mm (3/8”) ribbon at 105mm (4-1/4”) length. Both ribbon ends sealed.

This is how we line an alligator hair clip. Do you get the idea how we dress it up? I normally line only the straight side while leaving the angled side naked. This will allow you to slip it into the fine hair easily.

Let’s start from the inner side of the clip. Pinch open the clip, place two dots of glue, one near the hinge and the other near the tip. Then immediately line the ribbon neatly on clip and release your hold.

Flip the clip over, place a line of glue at the center and line the ribbon properly on the clip. As you hold on to the ribbon with your thumb and index finger, do pull it a little to create a smooth and tight hold.

Now for the hinge area. Just dot, glue and hold. These pictures tell it all.

And we finish off. Remember, 105mm or 4-1/4” ribbon length gives you this exact finish!
